“If you had to move to another state, what would it be?” I pretend like I think about it and joke, “Alaska, probably.” My husband loves cold weather and would move to the Last Frontier in a minute if he had a chance. I adore Alaska and want to explore as much of it as possible. However, my heart stays in Kauai, Hawaii. From pristine beaches to picturesque waterfalls and even not particularly safe Queen’s Bath, “the Garden Island” is a picture-perfect destination. And if you like photography, Kauai is an excellent place to shoot outstanding photo diary.
Choosing Kauai
We didn’t know anything about photogenic side of Kauai before choosing this island for our trip. My husband craved some peaceful time after our exciting but slightly exhausting adventures in Europe and Marrakech. (My bad planning was to blame for it.) Traveling can wear you out. I didn’t want to test our endurance this time. Thus it seemed appropriate to choose a small place that we could explore without pushing ourselves to the limits. On top of that, photo diaries of Kauai on the Internet suggested a once-in-a-lifetime experience. And we were about to see it for ourselves.
Kauai – The Garden Island
First thing that stuck us on Kauai was lavish green colors. It wasn’t just an island. Kauai presented itself as the most beautiful garden of all. Tall dense grass lined up along major roads. Towering mountains enticed you from afar. Awe-striking waterfalls stopped you in your tracks. You couldn’t ask for a better place for a short family vacation.
During our stay, it drizzled every day. However, overcast weather had no effect on our plans. On the contrary, it created perfect conditions for our Kauai photo diary. I didn’t know that cloudy days could be so intriguing until I experienced them on the island. And I’m eager to share our experiences through this dreamy Kauai photo diary.
