The region consists of 12 states: North Dakota, South Dakota, Nebraska, Kansas, Minnesota, Iowa, Missouri, Wisconsin, Illinois, Indiana, Michigan, Ohio. The Midwest’s crown jewels are Great Lakes, the Great Plains, Badlands National Park, and the Mississippi River
