1. Castle Hill
Apart from being one of the favorite landmarks in the city, Prague Castle won the best location and viewpoint lottery. Nestled in Castle Hill, it unveils the classic views of Prague, dotted with signature red rooftops with the contrasting green copper dome and spire of St. Nicholas Church.

2. Petřín Hill
Located about two kilometers (1.2 miles) away from Castle Hill, Petřín Hill offers the best views of historic Prague Castle. Additionally, it’s a perfect free spot to admire some of Prague’s prominent bridges along with the signature rooftops and the towering spires of churches.
3. Charles Bridge (Czech: Karlův Most)
The Charles Bridge, one of the symbols of Prague, is an ideal free location to view the Vltava River and some of the oldest structures of the city. Take a leisure walk across the bridge and admire the signature spires of the St. Vitus Cathedral and the stunning dome of St. Nicholas Church from a unique perspective.
How to View: You don’t need to pay a dime to enjoy the views of some sections of the Old and Lesser Towns, unless you choose to climb the Charles Bridge Tower.
4. Mánes Bridge (Czech: Mánesův Most)
Connecting Rudolfinum with the Lesser Town, the Mánes Bridge is another free spot with the best views of Prague Castle and St. Nicholas Church. If you’ve been to or planning to visit Prague, you notice that visitors and locals alike are in awe of the Charles Bridge and its exquisite sculptures. Yet you hardly meet people who seek to admire this grandeur from afar.
How to View: So go off the beaten path and search for the unique perspectives of the famous bridge and lesser-visited sections of Prague from the Mánes Bridge. And if you long to see the golden beams gradually descending upon Prague, visit the area before sunset.
5. Svatopluk Čech Bridge (Czech: Čechův Most)
For the panoramic views of Prague’s main attractions, go no farther than the Svatopluk Čech Bridge. Located almost parallel to the west side of the Vltava River, it showcases many of the city’s major landmarks. Take a look at Prague Castle, Strahov Monastery, and St. Nicholas Church that came together for a beautiful postcard from Prague.
