Visiting Arrington Vineyards
If you’ve ever wondered what to do near Nashville, Tennessee, then you are not alone. Even a few days prior to our trip to Tennessee, we didn’t have a clue what to do in this part of the United States. The only place I was excited about at that time was Arrington Vineyards.
The vineyards are one of the most favorite places to visit during a day trip from Nashville. The 75-acre plantation is located roughly 29 miles south of the city. Set among sweeping hills, it boasts gorgeous surroundings and award winning wines.
Free Events: Visit the area on weekends from April to October, and you are here for an extra treat, free live music events known as “Music in the Vines”.

History of Arrington Vineyards
Arrington Vineyards opened its doors in July 2007. From the very beginning, the mission of the business has been to provide its guests with “the wine country experience”.
But the vineyards’ story started a few years prior to its opening day. In 2003 winemaker Kip Summers purchased a hog farm and rebuilt it into vineyards. In 2004 country music artist Kix Brooks acquired the adjacent farm with a farmhouse and joined forces with Kip. The farmhouse later became the winery tasting room.
The partners worked relentlessly to create a first class winery with a testing room and retail store. In 2008, John Russell brought his entrepreneurial and business experience to the Arrington Vineyards partnership.
Since then, the three partners have continued to expand their vineyards and create “Nashville’s Wine County” experience for every visitor.

How to Visit
Arrington Vineyards are free to visit. There are neither parking nor entrance fees. Feel free to bring your food and have a picnic with the gorgeous view and free entertainment on the weekends from April through October. Show some respect, though, and don’t bring your own liquor. You can always buy a bottle or two of wine here.
Wine Tasting: Visitors can also join wine tasting tours that are available every day. Tables are available on a first-come, first-served basis. So be that early bird that catches the worm.
Dining at the Vineyards: Arrington Vineyards don’t have a full-service restaurant on premises. Guests can bring their own food, buy some snacks at the store, or take advantage of Simply Living Life, a gourmet food shop that operates every weekend from April through October.
